Dr J Viroja, MD
Dr. J Viroja, MD, serves as Medical Director at Pivotal Health and Wellness in Lake Worth. He has worked in several Palm Beach County hospitals since 2008, bringing experience from hospital settings to the clinic’s approach to patient care.
As a medical doctor on our clinical team, Dr. Viroja contributes medical insight alongside our chiropractic and nurse practitioner clinicians.
Dr. Darren Lastofsky, DC
Dr. Darren Lastofsky, DC, is the Clinic Director at Pivotal Health and Wellness in Lake Worth. His Florida practice spans nearly three decades, with a focus on neuropathy, sports injuries and injuries following auto accidents.
His approach emphasizes understanding the cause of symptoms and considering less invasive care options when appropriate. He follows developments in treatment approaches to inform the care offered by the clinic.
At Pivotal, the first visit begins with a conversation about how a condition affects daily activities, work, hobbies and family time. An appropriate examination helps the team determine whether they can help. Patients should plan for about an hour.
Dr. John Catena, DC
Dr. John Catena, DC, provides chiropractic care at our Lake Worth office. His experience includes private practice and supervising student interns in a chiropractic college campus clinic.
His clinical background includes care for spinal and other musculoskeletal disorders, with a special interest in disc disorders and neuropathy. His training includes trigger point therapy, flexion-distraction, and mechanical diagnosis and therapy.
Dr. Catena lives in Wellington, Florida. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Jennifer Smith, NP
Jennifer Smith, NP, is a Nurse Practitioner whose background includes more than 10 years in primary care and interventional pain management. She began her career as a registered nurse in emergency and intensive care settings.
Jennifer completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Temple University in Philadelphia. Her work with orthopedic and chronic pain patients has shaped her interest in regenerative medicine.
She follows developments in regenerative medicine and its potential role in patient care. Her nursing and advanced practice background adds another clinical perspective to the Pivotal team.
